2. What this website does – and doesn't
This is a simple informational website. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or third-party fonts. Fonts are served from our own domain.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser/user agent, referrer) to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation). Google may process data in the USA; transfers are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. More: Firebase privacy.
4. Contacting us by email
If you email us, we process your email address and message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Our email is hosted by Zoho Corporation B.V. in its EU data centre. We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.
5. Our YouTube channel and social media profiles
We run profiles on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, GitHub and Reddit. When you visit them, the respective platform's privacy policy applies. This website only links to these profiles; no data is transmitted to the platforms until you click a link.
6. Use of YouTube API Services
Our internal production system uses the YouTube API Services to upload, schedule and manage videos on our own YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@nodebuilt) and to read public video statistics (e.g. views, public metadata of public videos) for research and reporting.
- We do not ask website visitors or viewers to connect their YouTube or Google account, and we do not access, store or share any YouTube user data of third parties through the API.
- Public data retrieved via the API (e.g. titles and view counts of public videos) is stored in our internal database for up to 12 months and used only to analyse which topics are in demand.
- By using our YouTube channel you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- If you ever granted an app access to your Google account, you can revoke it at any time via Google security settings.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Contact us at hello@nodebuilt.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We update this policy when our services change. The current version is always available on this page.
